Comment0TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - The Temple High School pitmasters BBQ team just placed fifth in the nation at the National High School BBQ Association's National Championship Wednesday.

Out of 75 high school teams coming from Texas, Florida, the Carolinas and other states, Temple High School placed fifth overall across six categories that went to the judges table.

"We cooked grilled cheese, ribeye steak, chicken lollipops, St. Louis styled pork ribs, a dutch oven dessert and a pork shoulder," says Allison Medrano, one of the leaders for the team.
