The list of frozen pizza and snack food brands subject to a public health alert grew longer this week as the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) added some regional items to varieties that were sold nationwide.
The agency notes more products will likely be added going forward, as well, as health officials trace the downstream effects of a dairy recall.
Big picture view: The USDA originally issued the public health alert at the end of April and warned that some meat and poultry products containing FDA-regulated ingredients may be contaminated with Salmonella.
