LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - The Great Texas Balloon Race is just days away.

Officially it starts Friday morning, although some pilots will be taking practice flights over Longview starting Wednesday.

Soon, balloons will be glowing with color at the Maude Cobb Convention Center, but first there's set up.
