MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - A concert by country music star Riley Green drew a record-breaking crowd to the Midland County Horseshoe over the weekend, with 11,575 fans attending what officials believe was the largest concert crowd in Permian Basin history.
The turnout shattered the venue's previous concert attendance record of 5,235, which was set just weeks earlier during a performance by the band Midland."Seeing 11,575 people come together for one night was a powerful reminder of what live music means to West Texas," said concert promoter Areil Herrera of Out West Productions.
"This record belongs to the fans, our partners, our staff and everyone who made the night possible.""The turnout exceeded our expectations and demonstrates the tremendous demand for high-quality entertainment in our region," said Horseshoe Director Steven Garcia.
