Killeen voters to decide on ending resign-to-run rule for elected officials
The Killeen City Council voted to add a charter amendment to the November ballot that could change the rules for current elected officials running for a different office.

Comment0KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - The Killeen City Council voted to add a charter amendment to the November ballot that could change the rules for current elected officials running for a different office.
The amendment would end the requirement for current elected officials in the city to resign their position to run for a different office.
In a 7-0 vote Tuesday, council members approved amending the city charter to end the resign-to-run rule.
