LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - The God and the Great Outdoors Expo is happening through Sunday at Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview, offering activities for families.

The expo features hunting, fishing, boats, RVs and camping displays, along with vendors from across the U.S."It's hunting, it's fishing, it's boats, RVs, camping just all that type stuff brought together, instead of just specifically hunting or fishing. Because East Texas is really, they don't just hunt and fish. They do both," said Tom Williams, the expo's director.

Williams said he started the expo six years ago as a response to COVID."I thought man, what if we had something for East Texas where we didn't have to go to Dallas or Fort Worth or Houston or San Antonio. Kind of came together but I wanted to make it more faith based than just a pure secular show and that's kind of how it came about," Williams said.
