Texas State Technical College (TSTC) was one of 13 Texas two-year postsecondary career and technical education institutions to receive Perkins Leadership Grants from the state, according to a press release.

The grants totalled $3. 7 million, with TSTC receiving $278,739. "Texas' skilled workforce is critical to our state's economic success," stated Gov. Greg Abbott.

"With these grants, community and technical colleges can develop or redesign programs for in-demand occupations and recruit and retain instructors to train the next generation of the workforce." State Leadership Grants aim to inform and improve career and technical education grant activities at the state level, according to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board website.
