LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A Tahoka couple is converting a former general mercantile building in the center of town into an event venue.

Brandi Adams and her husband are renovating the building, which they plan to call LouEffie Pearl's."It was the store for everybody, and we want to continue that, for it to be the venue for everybody," Adams said.

Adams said she and her husband moved to Tahoka years ago and had always dreamed of doing something like this."We've always had a dream to open up a venue that we could name something that honored our daughter, but also something that our son could play in, because he's a musician. And that he would always have a home to play," Adams said.
