The Hill Country Charity Ball Association Inc. announced Sept. 8 that it has selected five beneficiaries for 2027: Kerr First Responder Alliance of Counseling, Blind Faith Foundation, Courage Beyond Combat, Hill Country Crisis Council and Pregnancy Resource Center.

After another year of flooding compounded the community's previous devastation, the association again chose multiple charities to support, according to the announcement.

The selected organizations include flood-related charities as well as groups experiencing charitable fatigue as donors understandably shift their generosity toward flood recovery rather than normal giving patterns.
