A woman was killed in a vehicle-pedestrian crash on Highway 249 in northwest Harris County Thursday night while attempting to cross the roadway.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A woman was killed late Thursday night after being hit by a vehicle in northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 13300 block of Highway 249 for a reported auto-pedestrian crash.

Investigators said the woman was trying to cross the roadway when she was struck.
