HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) - The punishment phase began Monday for Rogelio Martinez, the man recently found guilty in the 2023 shooting death of San Benito Police Lt. Milton Resendez.

A Cameron County jury found Martinez guilty of capital murder following a days-long trial earlier this month.
