Bryan County resident pushes for railroad crossing safety improvements

(KXII) - Braden Hamilton has lived between Silo and Durant for the past 10 years and says he has seen drivers take dangerous risks at a railroad crossing."I've traversed this crossing 100 times and the amount of times I've seen people dodge in front of a train or go in front because there's nothing stopping them is absurd," Hamilton said.

Hamilton is a railroad safety advocate who has worked with the Durant City Council, Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration and the Kiamichi Railroad to fix the 49th Street crossing.
