The Braunfels Foundation Trust celebrated the completed restoration of the historic Hinman House and honored the 2026 Living Legends at the Supper at the Haus event on Oct. 22.

The 2026 Living Legends award recipients were announced in August, The Herald-Zeitung previously reported, for their lasting dedication to the people, organizations and history of the New Braunfels community.

The Living Legends designation from the Braunfels Foundation Trust began in 2001 and is considered one of the highest honors a New Braunfelser can receive, according to the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce website.
