On Thursday, Sept. 24, Dollar General and the Reading Is Fundamental organization visited Hunt School for the grand opening of a renovated reading corner in the library, complete with new seating and 1,000 new books.

What the Hunt librarian, Kristin Huber, did not know was that the organizations were also donating $50,000 to the Hunt School library.

Denine Torr, executive director of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, presented Huber with the check after a local author read to a class of third-grade students.
