The Texas Animal Health Commission is restricting the movement of warm-blooded animals in parts of Zavala and Uvalde counties near La Pryor after the U.S. Department of Agriculture confirmed a New World screwworm case in a 3-week-old calf.

The commission has designated the area "Infested Zone 1," where movement restrictions apply to pets as well as livestock.
