TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - East Texas officials are warning that lithium-ion batteries can pose a hazard under certain conditions.

Lithium-ion batteries power phones, laptops, e-bikes, among other devices.

"These batteries, they can swell, they can explode," said Smith County Emergency Services District 2 Operations Chief Eric Greaser.
