Howard County Commissioners Court met Monday, June 22, taking action on a wide range of agenda items including county purchasing decisions, library renovation updates, workforce systems, and economic development programs tied to Opportunity Zones.

The meeting opened with updates on regional development efforts, including information on an upcoming Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

County officials were briefed that the meeting will focus on review and recommendation of a project and financing plan for TIRZ Zone 2, marking the first formal gathering of the newly established group.
