The Texas Department of Public Safety reported two fatalities from a two-vehicle collision that took place at 3:40 p.m. Friday, June 19 at the intersection of State Highway 6 (SH 6) at Farm to Market Road 1853 (FM 1853).

The preliminary investigation determined that a 2016 Dodge Caravan was traveling northbound on SH 6 near FM 1853, while a 2000 Freightline Truck Tractor towing 2015 Dirt semi-trailer was traveling southbound on SH 6, approaching from the opposite direction.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan crossed the center dividing line and struck the 2000 Freightline Truck in a head-on collision.
