GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KXII) - A Sherman man was arrested on Thursday after 39 horses were recovered from a property in Grayson County as a result of an animal cruelty investigation.

Jimmy Perry Grady was arrested and booked into the Grayson County Jail on June 18, facing 5 counts of cruelty to livestock animals, according to jail records.

The arrest and seizures came after authorities began investigating a property in the 2600 block of US-82 near Sherman several weeks ago, according to the Grayson County Sheriff's Office.
