EPISD adopts new tax rate, but more than 20,000 homeowners will pay nothing
The El Paso Independent School District board approved a new tax rate of $1.0745 per $100 of property value, which will increase the average homeowner's annual tax bill by approximately $114 while exempting over 20,000 homeowners from paying school taxes.
