Uvalde County Commissioners will accept a first draft of the 2026-27 budget and likely adopt a budget and tax planning calendar when they meet at 10 a.m. June 22 at the courthouse.

Commissioners will also consider amending a disaster declaration related to the threat of the New World screwworm fly.

Uvalde County does not include grant funds in the first draft of the budget, so subsequent drafts will likely come in at much higher amounts.
