Court records filed in Harris County show Cleveland Cavaliers player and former Houston Rockets star James Harden was arrested early Saturday and charged with a misdemeanor count of Unlawful Carrying Weapons, after prosecutors allege he had a handgun in "plain view" inside his vehicle.

According to a charging complaint, Harden was arrested by the Houston Police Department at 3:41 a.m. Saturday.

The complaint alleges Harden "unlawfully, intentionally and knowingly" carried "on and about" his person a handgun in a motor vehicle he owned, and that the handgun was "in plain view." Court records show Harden was released from custody after the arrest on a $100 personal bond.
