TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - A community group is auditing every park in Tyler, grading each on safety, parent experience, and whether it works for children ages 1 to 3.
Tyler's Littlest Explorers launched in June after founder Sharon Borgeson heard from her sister about the lack of toddler-appropriate options at local parks."I've taken Macy Lee to several of the local parks here in Tyler and the parks are really built for older children," Borgeson said, recounting her sister's experience.
"She wants to climb on the playscapes and she's what, maybe two and a half feet tall."How the audit worksThe group visits each park in Tyler, grades it on parent experience, park safety, and toddler experience, takes photos, and posts assessments to its Facebook page.
