LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin ISD announced Friday the district will no longer be able to continue an afterschool program due to a lack of grant funding.

The Texas ACE afterschool program, supported by grants, focused on providing student support.

The school said they were not selected to receive funding through the next Texas ACE grant cycle, according to a release.
