The Texas Education Agency on Wednesday dropped an investigation into whether San Antonio Independent School District improperly handled a child abuse allegation, district spokeswoman Laura Short confirmed.
"The investigative warnings previously associated with the superintendent's certification record have also been removed from the Educator Certification Online System account," Short said.
Sign up SAISD officials said the TEA notified them of the investigation on June 15, at which point the state agency requested information about whether the district notified Child Protective Services (CPS) about an alleged incident of child abuse at one of its campuses, as its required to do under law.
