TRINIDAD, Texas (KLTV) - The police chief for the City of Trinidad has resigned his position, the mayor confirms.

Police Chief Charles Gregory is resigning from the position, which comes in the wake of arrests made by the police of two people speaking out about the alleged poor water quality in Trinidad.

Jennifer Combs was arrested and charged with making a false report, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court.
