LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - The third annual East Texas Comic Con takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Longview Exhibit Center, featuring celebrity guests, a cosplay showcase and vintage comic books.

East Texas Comic Con director Javier Torres said this year marks a significant jump in momentum for the event."We saw some good growth the second year, but we've seen an explosion of growth this year," Torres said.

"This year everything has come together and you could see it, like, manifesting in the community. We're watching it being not only embraced by the community, we're watching the community drive the event."Attendees in costume will have the opportunity to walk the stage during a cosplay showcase.
