Heavy equipment safely removed a Taylor Fire Department truck that got stuck on some railroad tracks while responding to a blaze at a possible encampment, officials said.
The Fire Department was answering a call for smoke and flames Aug. 6 near Burkett and Sixth streets when the apparatus became marooned on the railroad right-ofway, according to city officials.
The blaze was located in a remote wooded area with no improved roadway access.
