For the second time in three seasons, a baseball team representing Boerne Little League has won the Texas West State championship and is one round away from playing at the Little League World Series.

Boerne advances to the Southwest Regional Tournament scheduled Aug. 6 - 11, in Waco.

The team from Boerne had to come up through the loser's bracket at the Texas West tourney, but they were ready for the challenge in the fourteam, double elimination event.
