GATESVILLE, Texas (KWTX) - The city of Gatesville has begun taking down what's left of the damaged buildings in downtown after the devastating fire a few months ago.

On Monday, a demolition crew started tearing the walls down of the buildings that have housed generations of memories.

It's a bittersweet moment for residents and city workers alike.
