New pedestrian safety improvements are coming to the Heights as city leaders respond to growing concerns about traffic deaths and dangerous crossings in one of Houston's most walkable neighborhoods.
For residents of the Heights, walking to school, a park, or a nearby business is part of daily life.
But for years, many of those trips have come with safety concerns for pedestrians navigating busy streets.
