The Executive Women's Club is donning lederhosen and dirndls at this year's Baubles and Beads event, themed "Cancer Is the Wurst." This year's event marks the 24th fundraiser the organization has thrown in support of Hill Country locals diagnosed with breast cancer.

EWC board member and chair Kayla Avirett Zachry explained Baubles and Beads' evolution through the years: "It started out as a luncheon and style show. It's transitioned into an evening fundraiser, where we give funds to two different organizations and a scholarship," Zachry said.

Texas Oncology and The Hope Fund at Peterson Health both receive funds raised at the event, as well as an EWC scholarship for local women.
