A San Antonio research institute dedicated to fighting childhood cancer received a $500,000 grant from Hyundai Hope on Wheels.

The Greehey Children's Cancer Research Institute, part of the Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, received the grant during a ceremony that brought together researchers, pediatric cancer patients and their families.

The Greehey Institute is one of two research groups focused solely on pediatric cancer research in the nation.
