COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - College Station officials examined safety changes for e-scooters and other micromobility devices after new crash data showed collisions have increased sharply in recent years.
Transportation planner Jesse DiMeolo presented the data and recommendations during Thursday's City Council meeting, pointing to intersection upgrades, lane improvements and public education as key strategies outlined in the city's recently adopted Active Transportation Master Plan.
According to DiMeolo's presentation, the city recorded 71 motorized conveyance crashes from 2021 through 2025.
