TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - A fire destroyed a historic Bell County building over the weekend, leaving community members and local historians grappling with the loss of a structure that stood for more than a century along Little Flock Road.

Penny Boehme has lived right next to the old Little Flock schoolhouse for over 30 years.

She says she first discovered the remains of the building during her morning walk Friday.
