MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Governor Abbott has authorized flags in Midland to be lowered to half-staff to honors the victims in Friday's shooting incident.
The City of Midland sent a statement on Saturday saying Governor Abbott called Mayor Lori Blong to check on Midland and express his condolences to the community.
Mayor Blong and the rest of City Council said they are asking residents, businesses, and organizations to lower flags through next week.
