GILMER, Texas (KLTV) - A charity golf tournament later this month in Gilmer aims to raise money for Big Brothers Giving Back, an Upshur County organization that mentors young men and helps provide guidance and support.

The Big Brothers Giving Back Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, July 27 at the Gilmer Country Club.

Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. and the tournament starts at 9 a.m. Kevin Finch, president and founder of Big Brothers Giving Back, said the organization was created nearly two decades ago after local leaders recognized many young men in the community lacked father figures and consistent guidance.
