LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A recent report indicates enrollment is decreasing at community colleges across Texas, but South Plains colleges say they're holding strong.

According to the Dallas Federal Reserve, "opportunity cost" has played a major role in students' decisions for the past 15 years.

The study concludes that more students are weighing the options when it comes to higher education and are deciding to forgo two-year institutions in favor of traditional four-year universities or going straight into the workforce.
