At Tuesday's meeting of the Board of Directors of the Brown County Water Improvement District, approval was given to a new budget for 2026/2027.

The total of the new budget will be $4,901,500, an increase of 3. 96% over the current budget.

The water rate for treated water will be $2. 2528 per thousand gallons, up 2. 97% from the current rate.
