A wide-ranging vision for the future of McMahon-Wrinkle Airpark is beginning to take shape, with potential impacts stretching from job creation to regional economic expansion.

During Thursday's edition of Big Spring Today , Airpark Director Mike Feely outlined ongoing efforts to transform the facility into a multimodal transportation hub - one that could integrate air, rail and trucking to attract new business and industry to the area.

Feely said a recently completed airport master plan, along with a newly awarded multimodal study, will help position Big Spring as a key player in a proposed "Ports-to-Plains" corridor linking Canada to Mexico along West Texas.
