SAN MARCOS, Texas - San Marcos residents are ordered to shelter in place on Monday evening as the U.S. Marshals Service searched for an armed fugitive who is wanted on an aggravated assault warrant.

What we know: Authorities identified the suspect as 27-year-old Dejon Darnell Holland, who is wanted on an active warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Officials said Holland is believed to be armed and urged residents in the area to remain indoors while the search continues.
