The Pleasanton City Council adopted its fiscal year 2026-27 budget and a property tax rate of $0. 577011 per $100 valuation during a special-called meeting Sept. 29, with both measures passing on 4-3 votes.
Before the council considered the budget and tax rate, two residents spoke during citizens' comments and raised concerns about the proposed tax increase and the city's financial position.
District 3 resident Bonnie Ramos urged council members not to move forward without confidence in the city's financial information.
