(Gray News) - President Donald Trump is expected to deliver a midterm "closing argument" speech at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington on Monday.

In comments to reporters as he deplaned from Air Force One for a Sunday rally in Iowa, Trump said he would be speaking at the site to "show how beautiful it is.""We might hold it tomorrow or something," Trump told reporters, but he did not give specifics.

Hours later, the White House formally announced that Trump would give a speech at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool Monday afternoon.
