MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - A Midland mother says she and her neighbors were left shaken after finding themselves near a police pursuit that ended with a suspect firing at an officer late Wednesday night.

Yvonne Morin said she stepped outside her home after hearing emergency sirens in her neighborhood, a routine she said she has followed for years whenever police or emergency vehicles pass through the area.

Moments later, Morin said she heard what sounded like gunfire nearby as officers pursued a suspect through the neighborhood."No one was hurt - not my family, my neighbors or the officers - but we were all severely disturbed," Morin wrote in a Facebook post.
