It's always special whenever Boerne High plays Boerne Champion in any sport, but last Friday's volleyball contest between the Greyhounds and Chargers had a little more riding on its since it was a battle of unbeaten teams in 26-5A.

Friday's winner would be the lone undefeated team in the district as 26-5A closes out firstround action on Tuesday, and it was the Lady Greyhounds that slid into first place in district and remained perfect in league play.

Boerne won Friday's match at home, 25-23, 25-24, 25-19, 25-18 and improved to 24-4 overall and 5-0 in district after Friday's win.
