AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle has been helping first responders and their families during this challenging year.

Most recently, the organization provided assistance to the family of Texas DPS Trooper Sergio Romero, who was killed in the line of duty this month.

Executive Director Suzanne Talley says the 100 Club has also helped 13 injured first responders and provided life-saving equipment for agencies."We're so thankful and privileged to be able to help our first responders. We wish that we didn't have to in these tough situations. Unfortunately, we recently paid one line of duty death of a young law enforcement officer," said Talley.
