Affidavit: Central Texas mother drove off as father tried to remove children from vehicle, nearly ran over child

A Central Texas mother was arrested after allegedly putting her two young children in immediate danger by driving off as her father tried to remove them from the vehicle.

WEST, Texas (KWTX) - West police arrested Cynthia Perez, 24, after she allegedly put her two young children in immediate danger.

According to an arrest warrant filed the West Police Department, police were called about an incident on June 17, 2026, at 625 Tokio Road in West.

The report came from Ciro Cabral, who told officers he was riding as a passenger in a vehicle Perez was driving with their minor children inside.
