Atascosa First Seventh-day Adventist Church is assisting families who are in need of a helping hand to receive a backpack and school supplies.

They will be giving them away free on July 12.

Distribution will take place from 1-3 p.m. at the church, located at 125 Hooge Lane in Poteet.
