ANGLETON, Texas - Brazoria County commissioners are set to consider a resolution Tuesday that would establish the county's official position that future data center developments should not move forward without safeguards protecting county resources and residents.

The proposal comes as concerns over data center development continue to emerge in communities across Texas and just days after the Alvin City Council unanimously approved a similar resolution expressing concerns about future projects and calling for additional review and safeguards.

While the proposed resolution stops short of opposing all data centers, it draws a clear line on future development.
