KILGORE, Texas (KLTV) - The Texas Broadcast Museum has purchased a 21,000-square-foot building next door to its current location to make room for a growing collection of donated broadcast equipment.
The museum's existing building has 19,000 square feet of space.
Museum founder Chuck Conrad said the large, aged equipment donated to the museum is "gravitationally challenged," and the museum needs more room."That's where the real museum is. This isn't going to be a museum. This is actually going to be a retail store believe it or not. And light manufacturing where we'll actually repair stuff. It's going to give us great shop space and a lot of storage," Conrad said.
